A one
act musical comedy, the show centers around a fictional spelling
bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle
School. Six quirky
adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally-quirky
grown-ups. It
follows the spelling-influenced adventures of six wacky kids,
thrust into the bee spotlight at a time in their lives when
they’re still trying to figure out exactly who they are and what
they want from life.
“One of
the funniest, sweetest and quirkiest small-scale musicals to
come along in a long time.”
--Variety
“Marvelous”
