theatre-winter-haven-02THEATRE WINTER HAVEN has been called “one of the best community theatres in America” by the Tampa Tribune, the Lakeland Ledger and the Winter Haven News Chief. Since our founding as a non-profit organization in 1970, TWH has worked to fulfill our Mission Statement:

“We inspire, challenge, entertain and educate our community by creating exceptional theatrical experiences”

Each year, TWH produces a five-play Main Stage subscription season, a two-play Theatre for Young People’s series, a summer musical, two touring productions and a three-play staged reading series called StageRead.

  • A Senior Theatre Program called the ACT IV Players which tours retirement homes and community centers.

TWH offers 5 Mainstage productions for adults, a complete Theatre Academy program, in-school and after-school classes, a touring program for young adults, a touring program for senior citizens, a summer musical and stage readings of contemporary plays for discriminating audiences. A professional staff of eight oversees the programming, and professional theatre artists are brought in from around the state and country to design, direct and perform.

Subscribers are given first choice to tickets for special events produced by Theatre Winter Haven. Past special events have included:

  • PHANTOM, CATS, LES MIZ in concert
  • SANDERS FAMILY at the Polk
