Called the “best
farce of the last 30 years” this rollicking riot presents the
story of a hapless British acting troupe touring a productions
of Noises On. The title of Frayn’s piece comes from the comic
minefield of events that occur offstage as you get a peek at
the best example of Murphy’s Law ever exhibited. When a
second rate cast performs a third rate play, when the actors
sometime drink too much or show up too late, when the female
ingénue loses her clothes faster than her lines, we are taken
on a madcap journey through theatrical Bedlam where the show
really may NOT go on--at least the way it was written.
